A place of hope, an affirmation of diversity.
Rainbow Counseling Center is a private, nonprofit agency offering online mental health counseling to Ohio residents. We have more than 20 years of experience helping people rediscover the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves through focused psychotherapy. Our services are available in individual, couple, and family formats with flexible scheduling and no requirements for proximity to our office (you can be anywhere in Ohio!) — and the relatively small size of our practice affords us the freedom to offer personalized care to every client.
A central tenet of our practice is that no individual in need should go without counseling services because of financial or insurance-related concerns. To that end, we are listed as approved providers on numerous insurance panels, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. We also offer direct-payment options for clients who are either uninsured or prefer the discretion of self-pay.
We counsel individuals on a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety or panic, relationships, divorce, parenting, workplace/co-worker dynamics, domestic violence, self-esteem, attention deficit disorder, and more. We also routinely work in tandem with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients experiencing comorbid physical and mental issues, as well as those who require psychotropic medication.
Additionally, Rev. Dr. Claudia Brown is a Presbyterian minister with chaplaincy experience. She can offer spiritual counsel to clients dealing with grief, loss, uncertainty about death or dying, disability issues, and other faith-related concerns on request.

Symptoms of depression often worsen during December & January in Ohio. The gloomy days with very little sunlight, cold temperatures, & often less physical activity all contribute to feelings of sadness.
